The first electric push from Mahindra came in the form of the Mahindra EV, based on the XUV300 platform. Powered by a 39.4kWh battery, it offers 456 km claimed range, fast charging support, and a top speed of 150 km/h. The XUV400 remains one of the most practical electric SUVs under ₹20 lakh.
Born-Electric BE Series: BE.05, BE.07 & BE.09 Coming in 2025–26
Mahindra’s most exciting announcement is the BE (Born Electric) series, built on the all-new INGLO platform. These include:
- BE.05 – A sporty, mid-size electric SUV with a coupe design and expected range of 500+ km, launching in late 2025
- BE.07 – A more spacious family SUV with futuristic interiors, launching in 2026
- BE.09 – A premium, performance-focused electric SUV expected to rival EVs like Hyundai IONIQ 5 and BYD Seal
These EVs will feature LFP batteries, V2L (vehicle-to-load) capabilities, AR HUDs, ADAS Level 2, and dual-motor AWD options.
Thar.e – The Electric Off-Roader of the Future
The Mahindra Thar.e is an electrified avatar of the iconic Thar, featuring a bold, boxy design, square headlamps, and minimalistic interiors. Set to ride on the INGLO platform with dual-motor 4WD setup, it promises rugged off-road performance combined with zero emissions. Launch expected in 2026.
